Nkumba University’s Guild President Byron Luswata faces impeachment after coming under criticism for incompetent leadership.
On Monday, students ganged up on Luswata and threw him out of campus accusing him of a number of issues.
The angry students say Luswata is not only incompetent but also disrespectful.
“He has been undermining the various cabinet ministers in the guild and wanting to do things on his own. The budget money that was allocated to the various ministers to do their work, he would interfere and want to be part of every transaction,” sources say.
The students also accuse him of betraying the “student cause” after he signed into operation a policy to ensure that every student possesses an ‘authority card’ in order to be able to access university premises. Apparently, all the previous guild presidents had refused to sign it into operation but Luswata signed it and it took effect on October 22nd.
